These Terms & Conditions set out the basis upon which Wealden Construction Company provides building services to homeowners. By requesting a quotation, instructing us to begin work, or accepting a written estimate, you agree to these terms. Our aim is to provide a transparent, professional service while ensuring every project is completed to the highest possible standard.

About Wealden Construction Company
Established in 2016, Wealden Construction Company delivers premium residential building services throughout the local area. Led by Donald, who brings more than 20 years of construction experience, our team of skilled tradespeople specialises in house extensions, brickwork, paving, landscaping, renovations, structural alterations, and general building services.
Quotations and Estimates
All quotations are provided in writing and remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Our quotations are based on the information available at the time of preparation. Should additional work, unforeseen site conditions, or client-requested changes arise, a revised quotation or variation may be required before the additional work proceeds.
Acceptance of Work
Work will only commence once the quotation has been accepted by the client in writing or by another mutually agreed method. Acceptance confirms that you agree to these Terms Policy.
Project Timescales

Estimated start dates and completion dates are provided in good faith. Whilst every effort is made to complete projects within the agreed timeframe, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather conditions
- Material supply shortages
- Planning or Building Control delays
- Client-requested changes
- Unexpected structural issues
- Events outside our reasonable control
Where delays occur, we will keep you informed and minimise disruption wherever reasonably possible.
Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours.
- Ensure planning permission or other approvals are obtained where required unless specifically agreed that we will arrange them.
- Provide timely decisions regarding materials, finishes, and design choices.
- Ensure pets, valuables, and personal belongings are secured before work begins.
- Make payments in accordance with agreed payment schedules.
Variations to the Project
Any changes requested after work has commenced may affect the overall cost and project duration. All variations will be discussed with the client before additional work is undertaken wherever reasonably practicable.
Materials

We source quality building materials from reputable suppliers. If a specified product becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to recommend a suitable alternative of comparable quality after discussing the options with the client.
Payments
Payment schedules will be agreed before work begins and may include deposits, stage payments, or payment upon completion depending on the size and nature of the project.
Invoices are payable within the agreed payment period stated on the invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may result in additional charges where permitted by applicable law and may delay ongoing work until payment has been received.
Site Safety
Health and safety remain a priority throughout every project. Clients should avoid entering active work areas unless accompanied by a member of our team. Children and pets should be kept away from construction areas for their own safety.
Building Regulations and Planning

Where applicable, work will be carried out in accordance with relevant Building Regulations. Planning permission remains the responsibility of the property owner unless our written agreement specifically includes assistance with planning applications.
Guarantees
We take pride in delivering quality workmanship. Any workmanship guarantees provided will be confirmed in writing and apply only where the property has been properly maintained and no unauthorised alterations have been made following completion.
Liability
We maintain appropriate care while working on your property. However, we shall not be liable for delays, losses, or damage resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, supplier failures, utility interruptions, or hidden structural defects that could not reasonably have been identified before work commenced. You can find out more about what our comprehensive insurance covers.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel work after accepting a quotation, please notify us as soon as possible in writing. Where materials have already been purchased or work has commenced, reasonable costs incurred up to the date of cancellation may remain payable.
